The Festival d'Aix-en-Provence 2022 featured a new production of Mozart's Idomeneo, re di Creta. The production, directed by Satoshi Miyagi, ran from July 6-22, 2022, with eight performances. The musical direction was led by Raphaël Pichon with the Pygmalion orchestra and chorus. The cast included Michael Spyres as Idomeneo, Sabine Devieilhe as Ilia, and Anna Stephany as Idamante.
